Bangaram Island, also called Bunnagara, is an atoll that surrounds a lagoon created by the Arabian Sea. This small island covers an area of 1.234 square kilometers and is filled with various elements of natural beauty. Bangaram Island is truly captivating and mesmerizing, defying adequate description. It remains one of the least explored areas in the Lakshadweep islands. The lagoon enclosing Bangaram encompasses two smaller islands, Thinnakara and Parali, which are located in close proximity to Bangaram. There is only one beach resort on the island, and modernization is miles away, making it an ideal destination for escaping the outside world. The enchanting bluish glow that illuminates the coral sands when phosphorescent plankton washes ashore is simply breathtaking. Bangaram Island is renowned for its pristine beaches, vibrant coral reefs, diverse marine life, and thrilling adventure sports. Situated 12 kilometers away from Agatti Island, Bangaram is an uninhabited island that offers water sports such as kayaking, snorkeling, and scuba diving. It is also home to one of the two world-class scuba diving schools in Lakshadweep, catering to beginners. The other school can be found on Agatti Island.

The beach resort on the island was established in 1974, and it became easier for tourists to visit after the Agatti Aerodrome was constructed and the number of commercial flights from Kochi increased. The Indian government is also actively promoting tourism on the island and expects it to become a popular international destination.

BANGARAM, an enchantingly beautiful and awe-inspiring island in Lakshadweep, is completely uninhabited. It is surrounded by a shallow lagoon that is enclosed by a coral reef. Renowned as one of the world's top destinations, BANGARAM captivates visitors with its harmonious blend of sun, sand, and surf. It offers unparalleled privacy and unpolluted comfort, with its crystal clear waters. The sparkling coral reef and blue lagoon work their magic on the adventurous souls who seek solace. It is a place where Hemingway could have written a classic or Van Gogh could have painted a masterpiece. Who knows, perhaps the muse will also inspire others to create. A unique sense of well-being takes over as one begins to discover the graceful fishes, porcupines, parrots, pufferfishes, hermit crabs, and sea birds that inhabit the vast 120 acres of lush coconut groves on BANGARAM. There are numerous thrilling activities to indulge in, such as scuba diving, beach games, swimming, snorkeling, and deep-sea fishing. The resort consists of 60 beach cottages with comfortable accommodations and a multi-cuisine restaurant that serves a wide range of delectable dishes. Additionally, there is a well-stocked bar to cater to guests' preferences. AGATTI serves as the gateway to BANGARAM, with connections to Cochin for onward flights to major cities.
